Disney Store Japan Quietly Closes Location in Akishima City
While the various international Disney Store chains continue to open locations, it’s not all rosy news.
Their location in Akishima, a western suburb of Tokyo, closed quietly in November. The news is only spreading now, as cosmetics brand AINZ&TULPE is opening a location in their unit. Disney has yet to actually remove the store from their site.
The east building, where the store was located, is also home to Toys’R’Us and model shop Machichara.
Disney Store Japan’s pop-up store tour continues to tour, having recently reached 1 million guests. A permanent location recently opened in Kyoto, and soon will open in Tokyo’s Setagaya.
