Jack, Sally, Zero, Oogie Boogie PEZ are Just Around the Corner, in July

Thirty-two years after its release, a cult classic film is finally getting its proper PEZ treatment. Tim Burton’s The Nightmare Before Christmas worried Disney when it was first released, to the point that they shuffled it off to their adult Touchstone Pictures banner. But over the years, it’s gained a devote following for its distinct visual style and gothic story.

In 2019, Funko Pop! released a line of Nightmare Funko Pop! PEZ. The pop culture brand generally released niche characters, likely intended to not compete with the main PEZ brand. Where PEZ released Boba Fett and Leia, Funko’s Boba was in its Star Wars Holiday Special colours and released alongside the Gamorrean Guard.

But it seems PEZ has woken up to these formerly niche characters, in recent years. Funko Pop! did Harry Potter PEZ in 2019, PEZ did them in 2020. Same for Care Bears (2021, 2022), Lilo and Stitch (2019, 2025), and The Office (2019, 2021).

We’re still a long way from H. R. Pufnstuf and Caddyshack getting the official PEZ treatment, but you never know.

Here are pics of the PEZ from the official website:

If you want Oogie Boogie, you’ll have to buy the gift tin. His dispenser is complete with the silhouettes of bugs crawling all over his stem.
