Tokyo’s Setagaya Receives New Disney Store, May 27

A new store was announced for Futako Tamagawa Rise Shopping Centre in Tokyo’s Setagaya.

Mickey Mouse is featured in the middle of “a space inspired by a sunset-coloured cloud, brought to life by magic.” Golden decorations feature characters like Dumbo and Tinker Bell, and the Disney logo castle. Similar to late-era American Disney Stores, there’ll be magic mirrors where Disney Princesses appear.

Customers spending ¥5,000 (tax included) or more will receive a limited-edition original tote bag. And until May 29, the store offers five times the Disney Store Club Points. There’ll be limited edition “shop cards,” available on request.

A limited supply of plush toys and plush keychains feature “gorgeous costumes” in yellow and white. They include Urupocha-chan plush with Mickey and Minnie in matching outfits.
