Disney Longbox Reviews Darkwing Duck #2

 

When we last left our heroic web footed wonder, the jail’s defense systems were hacked so Darkwing and a few members of the media are now trapped inside the new St-Canard Prison where Negaduck and pretty much every baddie is the city are after our egotistical superhero.

Outside the jail , Prince John’s descendant ( Seriously it looks just like him) is doing a very poor job of interviewing Launchpad while he and Honker attempt to break in the prison.

As for Darkwing himself, he has been talking to Negaduck via intercom not realizing its one-sided. Liquidator then ambushes him and the two start a fight which ends on a rather soapy note.

He then faces off against new villain Muckduck, basically a villain made out of thrash. The colouring on him is extraordinary. Thanks Andrew for the colours BTW, we all missed you.

This issue deals with a lot of villains making cameos from Mrs. Ammonia Pine, the Beagle Boys (who moved to St-Canard having given up on stealing from a certain Scottish duck) and many others.

While this is happening, Gosalyn is still looking for her friend Mortimer ( aka Catankerous from Issue 14 of the original Darkwing Duck comic) , who split off from the rest of his class , walking in a separate section of the jail unaffected by the controls. He then meets a villainous cat who convinces to return to his evil ways as he takes on Megavolt and Negaduck single-handedly to ensure a place with the villains.

Darkwing then encounters Launchpad who manages to get in the jail despite having trouble earlier , but Darkwing realizes something was up and tricks Launchpad into saying lots of words starting with s. It turns out it was none other than Camille Leon ( Uhhhh whoops I meant Camille Chameleon, guess Im hinting a certain friend who works on the book to get the clue I left him on a certain IP I want in the future). The two battle it out as she transforms into Easter Eggs to try and take Darkwing on. Including this one from Issue 5.

The issue ends when Negaduck finds a new plaything to go after, who is this person, you will have to find out for yourself, but first a sponsored message from Quackburn”s.
