Mom’s Christmas Time Act Of Generosity Grabs Attention of Disney & LEGO For Magical Surprise

Disney’s Babble today released a feel-good holiday video about how one mother’s act of generosity transformed a small neighborhood in Connecticut — and subsequently caught the attention of Disney, LEGO and Westfarms Mall. In a whirlwind 24 hours, her donation set off a chain reaction resulting in $13,000 toward Toys for Tots Foundation.

When Erica Donovan, a former firefighter currently working as an advocate for people suffering from developmental disabilities, won $3,000 from her employer, she had the option to spend her winnings on anything in the Disney stratosphere for herself — including a Disney Cruise or a week-long stay at Disneyland. Instead, she chose to spend the donation to help families in need during the holidays.
