Cancelled Lightening McQueen Disney Infinity Concept Art Revealed

Following lots of recent reveals of cancelled Disney Infinity Premium Format figures, details and images of a Lightening McQueen figure have been revealed.  This large figure however had been dropped before Disney Infinity had been canned, which means even if the game continued, this figure wouldn’t have been released.

This 12″ larger figure would have had light up headlights and exhaust, however one suggestion was that the figure wouldn’t have been too different to the existing 1.0 character in-game, making it less desirable.

Disney had been planning on releasing a new Cars 3 playset during what would have been “4.0”, so a new version of Lightening McQueen was possible to have come then, but sadly we will never see any of this come to light.  Though I do hope Cars is able to be licensed out ahead of Cars 3 for a new driving game experience.
